Smell:
Like a funky Gelato #41.
#41 is my favorite Gelato between (#33, #41, and #47/Mochi) due to its Indica and body leaning effects. Crossing it with Donny Burger adds a layer of earthy GMO funk to the sweet, and creamy flavors. I didn’t notice too much berry smell until I was on my third bowl; that might be the Donny Burger effect.

Look/Breakdown:
The Gelly Burger buds are dense as fuck! Once broken up the smell of sweet gassy pine jumps out after being broken up by hand, as well as being ground up. The ground cannabis is moist, which I didn’t expect judging from the hard dense exterior. The huge ass nug I saw a month ago while reviewing OMFG with Strain Tasters had the same look and breakdown.
Dark purple and dark green leaves on the outside cover dense lighter green leaves underneath. The coating of trichomes is heavy and consistent across the outside of the buds, and inside the buds when broken apart. There’s also a sparse covering of light light orange hairs.

Flavor:
Sweet earthy and kushy funk. Burned my nostrils when I exhaled through my nose, but damn that sweetness lasts as an aftertaste and is delicious.
The first hit of the second bowl I got the taste of sweet cream to start, and it lasted throughout to the after taste. As I took more hits from the bowl I noticed more of an earthy, funky, hash/kief flavor.
Rolled a jointand inhaled a little bit to get some of the flavor (thanks OneGramGuy for the idea!) and it tasted like sweet diesel, pine, and lime (lime or lemon candy). The flavor was much better than anything I got from the bong, and I enjoyed the entire smoke.

How it smokes:
Smooth smoke that didn’t cause coughing but made my nostrils sting when I exhaled through them.

Effects:
Indica effects for sure, and it hits hard and fast! Within the first 2 pulls from each bowl, I could feel the heavy relaxation hit my head and body. There were a few bowls that took me 20+ minutes to finish, because I was pretty baked by the 3rd pull and got lost in editing this review and watching my friend play Fall Guys; haven’t played, but it looks like fun in a chaotic, fun, ridiculous way.
When I say I got lost, I just mean my focus and attention was on other things. It increased the forgetfulness, and “ooh shiny” loss of attention aspect of adult ADD; although it did keep me sitting still for long periods of time.
Head: I felt it in my forehead, temples, and eyes.
Body: Relaxation felt in my arms and legs

Thoughts:
There were a few cultivars from Tranquil Forest that I’ve been keeping an eye on, and Gelly Burger is one of them. I was somewhat concerned that I’d hyped it up too much for myself and raised expectation levels a little too high, but it is fire! Easily my top cultivar/strain of the year to date, and has the potential to remain Top 5 in the final ranking.
When it comes to Gelatos, Tranquil Forest has two excellent offerings in #33 and #41; two of the best that I’ve had in WA state. Both are hybrids, but the #41 has a heavier body high that is more appealing to me. Comparing the two, #41 has such a nice body high that edges #33 as the better gelato, in my opinion.
When the #41 is crossed with Donny Burger (another great cultivar from Tranquil that I enjoyed smoking last year) a GMO x Larry OG that’s backcrossed with GMO again, it adds the funky, earthy notes from DB with sweetness from the Gelato, some creaminess and a little bit of berries. Effects wise, GMO x Gelato #41 gives me what I look for; heavy and relaxed arms and legs, with a nice head high that is made for the end of the night.
It’s been nice to see Tranquil Forest release new heat throughout the year. It seems they are balancing a core rotation of cultivars that customers love, while not becoming stagnant, and providing customers with new strains and phenotypes. Potentially looking to move new stuff into the core rotation based on customer response on social media; I.e.-Runtz, Wookies, Zookies. Hopefully Gelly Burger, Motorbreath #15, Apple Fritter, and Str8 Lemonade.

Quick Story:
Strain Tasters rolled a blunt of the Gelly Burger, and we smoked it before smoking Wowzers and OMFG. It had me fucked up through the other 2 blunts and the actual review that we recorded. that blunt shouldn’t been last. LOL!

Pairs Well With:
unwinding, ending the night, and being able to pay just enough attention to a show or movie… or fall asleep. Oh, and I feel like this is just for me
