Smell:
Sweet candy and berries, with the influence of the sour/tangy smell from the #41 it’s almost like a sweet and sour berries, and a slight cream scent layered underneath the assertive candy and berries. Gelato #41 makes its presence known.
Look/Breakdown:
I got 2 small nugs in an exchange with Strain Tasters, so it was enough for about 3 bowls which was great. I realized I couldn’t take pics of those nugs, so I went to Green Theory to pick up an 8th. The cure was done well, and the jar appeal is high. While I’m not a big fan of wooden lids, the Gabriel lid might be different since it’s painted black. The smell of the Wowzers hit me as soon as I opened the jar. The smell on the breakdown intensifies with more gas, strawberries, and sweet candy. The texture showed how well the Gabriel team did curing it; I like cannabis that almost moves and feels like brown sugar.
Flavor:
Gelato #41 tangy sour flavor, strawberry candy, and a cream finish. It’s a tasty smoke from greens to the last hit. The Runtz/sweet candy/berry flavor stands out even toward the end of the bowl. Runtz stands out more with flavor, but the strawberries are there too.
How it smokes:
Lighter smoke that won’t cause too much coughing. The smoke won’t overpower the flavor, allowing the Runtz and Strawberries and Cream flavors to shine.
Effects:
A nice hybrid that has a light body high with enough mental focus/ability to have conversations. Euphoria increases with this cultivar, and I found myself laughing a lot more with my friends. We enjoyed the smell, flavor, and uplifting feeling. After 2 bowls I felt this behind my eyes as they slightly lowered.
Thoughts:
The opportunity to smoke this came about from the strain test of OMFG with Strain Tasters. Wowzers and OMFG are an Exotic Genetix cultivar, and excellent Runtz crosses that highlight the. The gas is stronger in OMFG, while the creaminess in Wowzers makes it a great social smoke. It was really interesting smoking them side by side, because Wowzers and OMFG are basically the same cross [Strawberries and Cream x Runtz]. The differences between Red Pop and Strawberries and Cream is big enough to notice more gas, tart strawberries, and/or sour strawberry belts in the OMFG. The Wowzers, in comparison, has a laidback, smooth, and creamy vibe to it that makes it unique enough to stand apart from OMFG. Trust me when I tell you that these two HAVE to be smelled and smoked side by side.
Bring it to a smoke sesh and you’re bound to get a few raised eyebrows and questions. If you’re a Runtz chaser, Wowzers belongs on the short list of Runtz crosses that are must tries. Gabriel Cannabis did a really good job growing excellent genetics and look forward to what Gabriel’s team does growing any of the Red Pop release from Exotic Genetix.
